Graeme Dor is a PhD candidate within the Data Science team, working in the field of genomic epidemiology and phylodynamics. His research focuses on integrating ecological, environmental, and mobility-related data to better understand the transmission dynamics of viral pathogens.
His work combines phylogenetic inference with geospatial and remote sensing approaches to uncover the ecological drivers of disease spread. He has contributed to research on SARS-CoV-2 evolution and transmission, including the characterisation of emerging Omicron sub-lineages, as well as work on arboviruses, with a particular focus on how climate and environmental change influence patterns of transmission.
His current research aims to develop integrated phylodynamic frameworks that incorporate environmental covariates into models of pathogen transmission, with applications for public health surveillance and epidemic forecasting.
